Duleek – Old Churchyard

Gravestone Inscriptions

Recorded by Enda O’Boyle

Enda O’Boyle was the historian of Duleek. Enda recorded the plaques within the church before they were vandalized and destroyed, saving and salvaging this information for future generations. Enda’s recording of the graveyard is published in Riocht na Midhe, 2001 and 2002. His recording includes which area the gravestone is located so it is possible to locate where the gravestone is. The inscriptions are as good as could be done and the indexes prepared are reproduced here but as in all cases with my transcriptions and indexation it is best to check the original source, firstly Riocht na Midhe and then the gravestone itself.
